Drumstick Flowers-Muringapoo Thoran

Drumstick flowers mixed with grated coconut and cooked in a natural style.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Drumstick flowers Muringapoo
  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • 1 tbsp Green chillies chopped
  • 1 tsp Urad dal Uzhunnu parippu
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Take a frying pan and pour oil. Heat the oil and splutter mustard seeds and add urad dal, green chillies and curry leaves.
  • Add grated coconut and saute for some time.
  • When the coconut changes to a light golden color, stir in drumstick flowers and add required salt. Mix and pour some water.
  • Cover with a lid and cook in low heat until the water evaporates completely.
  • Muringapoo thoran is ready and serve hot.
