Fish Curry - Nadan Style

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Prawns You can add any other fish instead of prawns
  • 2 medium Cocunut grated
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Chilly powder
  • 2 nos Tomato sliced, medium
  • 4 nos Green chillies
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
  • 1 lemon Tamarind Puli
  • Curry leaves As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Soak the tamarind in hot water.
  • Add turmeric, chilly powder and sufficient water to the grated coconut and grind until smooth.
  • Take a pan and put the cleaned prawns, sliced tomatoes, green chillies, ginger paste, curry leaves, salt and tamarind water and mix well with hand.
  • Add coconut mixture to the prawns and stir well.(If it is any other fish, add fish only after the mixture is boiled)
  • Bring to boil in medium flame. Cook for 15-20 minutes by stirring in between.
  • Fish curry in vadakkan style is ready. Have it with rice.
