Methi Pulav - Tamil Nadu Style

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Cooked Rice
  • 5 tsp Oil
  • 1 spoon Mustard
  • 4-5 nos Methi seeds
  • 2 big Methi leaves venthaya keerai
  • 1 cup Green peas
  • 5 nos Red chilli
  • 2 tsp Coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp Bengal gram
  • Turmeric powder as reqd
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil on the tava and fry the red chilli, coriander seeds, bengal gram and grind it to a powder and keep it aside.
  • Cut the methi leaves into separate leaves.
  • Cook the green peas.
  • Heat some more oil, put the mustard seeds, methi seeds and fry it in low flame for few seconds.
  • Add methi leaves, salt, turmeric and allow to cook.
  • Add the grinded powder and fry for a minute.
  • Mix the cooked peas and add the cooked rice.
  • :- Serve it hot!!! :- Its better when we add more methi leaves and its surely not bitter.
