Ingredients
  

  • 2 nos Capsicum chopped, big size
  • 1 no Onion chopped, small size
  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • 3 nos Green chillies
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 2 sprig Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard
  • 4 nos Dry red chillies
  • Salt as reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing Capsicum Thoran, grind coconut along with green chillies, garlic, cumin and turmeric powder without adding water. The masala should be of dry consistency.
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add curry leaves, red chillies, chopped capsicum and onion along with little turmeric powder and salt.
  • Cook it by keeping the pan open. (don`t cover it with a lid).
  • When the capsicum is half done, add the coconut masala and mix it well.
  • Keep it in the fire till it is done and the thoran is dry enough to serve.
  • :- Serve hot with rice.
