For preparing Capsicum Thoran, grind coconut along with green chillies, garlic, cumin and turmeric powder without adding water. The masala should be of dry consistency.
Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
Add curry leaves, red chillies, chopped capsicum and onion along with little turmeric powder and salt.
Cook it by keeping the pan open. (don`t cover it with a lid).
When the capsicum is half done, add the coconut masala and mix it well.
Keep it in the fire till it is done and the thoran is dry enough to serve.
