Clean chicken and cut into small pieces.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add green chillies(cut into two halves) and saute for few mins. Keep it aside.
In the same pan, add small onions and saute for few mins.
Add cinnamom, cloves, cardamom, aniseeds, cumin seeds, poppy seeds and pepper corns one by one and fry them for few mins.
Add turmeric and coriander powder and saute.
Finally, add coconut and a few coriander leaves.
Switch off the flame.
Allow it to cool.
Grind it along with green chillies into a fine paste.
Cut big onion and tomato into small pieces.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add onion, ginger-garlic paste and fry until it turns golden brown.
Add curry leaves.
Add tomato and saute till it blends well.
Add masala paste and saute for 10 minutes.
Add chicken pieces.
Cover and cook on low flame till chicken cooks.
:- There is no need to add water. If u want, u can add some water to masala that remains in mixer grinder and add that water to chicken and cook.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
