Beef Cutlet - Kerala Special

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Beef
  • 3 - Potato boiled and mashed
  • 1 - Onion big
  • 4 nos Green chillies
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 6 nos Garlic pods
  • Mustard seeds
  • Bread crumbs
  • 2 - Egg According to need
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil for frying

Spices:-

  • 4 tbsp Chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 2 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the cut, cleaned beef with the spices mentioned for 1 hour.
  • :- The beef needs to be cooked in the pressure cooker until tender. It`s better that some gravy is left behind, so that the beef can be ground better and easily.
  • Heat little oil in a pan.
  • Splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add diced onions and saute until light brown.
  • Add the chopped ginger, garlic and chillies, until they are sauteed well.
  • Put the beef in the processor, and grind the cooked beef to make it simpler to shape cutlets.
  • In that mixture, add the sauteed onions and green chillies and mix well.
  • Finally, add the mashed potatoes and mix well, until the mixture gets mixed well.
  • Add salt if needed.
  • Shape the mixture into patties. Set aside.
  • Dip them in beaten egg mixture and then roll them into bread crumbs.
  • Deep fry the patties in oil.
  • :- Serve hot with tomato ketchup and french fries.
