Delicious Nadan Tapioca (Kappa)

A very delicious way of making the nadan tapioca...

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Tapioca cut into small pieces, Kappa
  • 1/2 cup Coconut grated
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 no Onion finely chopped
  • 2 nos Garlic whole bulb
  • Mustard seeds As reqd
  • 2 nos Dry red chillies Kollamulaku
  • 2 sprigs Curry leaves
  • Oil As reqd
  • Water to cook kappa
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Put in cut kappa, 1 bunch of garlic, turmeric powder and required amount of water to cook kappa in a pressure cooker and wait till kappa is done.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Splutter the mustard seeds and saute red dry chillies and curry leaves.
  • Put in 1 bunch of chopped garlic, onion and coconut into it and saute till coconut starts to becomes golden.
  • When kappa is done, open the pressure cooker`s lid and put in salt and mash the kappa.
  • Add the coconut mixture to it and mix well.
  • :- Serve hot.
