Cheera-Sprout Cutlet

Ingredients
  

  • 2 bunches Cheera Red cheera, or Green cheera or both
  • 1 cup Sprouts
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 nos Onion finely chopped, medium
  • 2 tbsp Ginger chopped
  • 5 nos Green chillies chopped
  • 2 tbsp Curry leaves optional, chopped
  • 1 no Potato boiled and mashed, medium
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 2 tbsp Maida
  • 2 cups Bread crumbs
  • 2 cups Oil

Instructions
 

  • Clean, wash and chop cheera along with the soft stem.
  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan.
  • Add chopped onion, ginger, green chillies and curry leaves and saute well by adding salt.
  • Add chopped cheera and sprout and saute till it is cooked and mixed well.
  • Add garam masala and remove it from fire and allow it to cool.
  • Add the mashed potato to the cheera-sprout mixture and mix it well.
  • :- You can make the cutlet more tastier by adding little bread crumbs while mixing.
  • Mix maida with little salt and add water to make a thin batter.
  • Make balls out of the cutlet mix and shape it into oval shaped cutlets.
  • Dip the cutlets in maida batter (make sure that the batter is so thin), coat it with bread crumbs and fry it in oil.
  • :- Serve hot with tomato sauce.
