Kerala Pepper Rasam

- Lentil water (Toor Dal, boil in cooked and take the dal water only)
- 1/2 piece Ginger
- 2 pods Garlic
- 3 nos Green chillies
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Jeera
- 2 nos Red chillies whole
- Curry leaves few
- Corriander leaves few
- 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
- Oil As reqd
- Lemon juice
In a vessel pour the dal water
grind ginger, garlic, pepper, jeera and green chillies coarsly and mix in the dal water.
Boil for 5 minutes.
Heat little oil in a kadai.
Add mustard seeds, red whole chille and curry leaves.
When this sputters, pour over the rasam water.
Garnish with corriander leaves.
Add the lemon juice.
:- This rasam gives a fresh flavour and can be had with rice, sambhar and papadams.
