Banana Thoran

An easy way to cook banana thoran

Ingredients
  

  • 4 nos Raw bananas
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp Grated coconut
  • 2 nos Green chillies
  • 1/2 piece Ginger optional
  • 1/2 Red onion
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 nos Whole red chillies Kollamulaku
  • Curry leaves A few
  • Oil
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Cut raw banana into small pieces, add turmeric, salt and very little water and cook for 5 - 7 minutes.
  • Meantime, crush cut onions, grated coconut, ginger, green chillies and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a kadai or wok.
  • Add mustard, whole red chillie, and curry leaves.
  • Add the cooked banana and all the crushed ingredients and fry well.
  • Add salt according to taste.
