Peel the potatoes and cut into small cubes.
Heat a pressure cooker and pour 3 cups of water into it.
Add the potatoes, carrot, sliced onion, slit green chillies, turmeric powder and salt to taste to the pressure cooker.
Cover, put the weight and cook for 1 whistle.
Once the cooker cools, open and mash the potatoes well.
Heat oil in a kadai or pan.
Splutter the mustard.
Add the tomatoes and the curry leaves.
Cook the tomatoes very well.
Add the cooked potatoes.
Add little water if necessary.
Boil and cook for 6 - 8 mins.
