Gongura Chicken

Tasty and variety chicken curry

Ingredients
  

  • 250 gm Chicken
  • 1 big Gongura leaves
  • 1 no Onion big
  • 2 - Green chillies
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • Coriander leaves
  • Curry leaves
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Marinate chicken pieces with enough salt and turmeric powder for 1/2 hr.
  • Cook gongura leaves and green chillies in the water till the leaves turn into pale colour.
  • Grind this into a paste.
  • Saute the onions in the oil.
  • Add garlic - ginger paste and curry leaves to it.
  • Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder to it and saute it for a while.
  • Add chicken pieces and coriander leaves and cook till chicken is done.
  • Add gongura paste to it and cook for another few minutes.
  • Add coriander leaves for garnishing.
  • :- Can have this with rice or chappathi.
