Kerala Simple Potato Fry

Quick and easy recipe for frying potatoes

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Potatoes peeled and cut into thin slices
  • 2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 4 tsp Oil

Instructions
 

  • Cut potatoes into very thin slices.
  • Add chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  • Mix thoroughy and keep it aside for approximately 1/2 an hour.
  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
  • Splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add the marinated potatoes into the pan.
  • Add some more scoops of oil if required and stir nicely.
  • Cook the potatoes on low flame with the pan closed.
  • Keep stirring every 5 mins until the potatoes are evenly fried.
