Heat 1 spoon of oil in a pan.
Add onion, ginger, garlic, chillies, whole pepper, cloves, cinnamon, fennel seeds, tomatoes and coconut and saute till its turns tender.
Once it cools, grind the mixture to a fine paste.
Pour oil in a pressure cooker.
Add half sliced onion and saute.
When it turns light brown, add the ground masala.
Cook the masala till it turns dry.
Add the coriander and turmeric powder.
Add salt and some water followed by the chicken and mix well.
Pressure cook it.
:- If the gravy is not thick, boil it for some time.
:- Serve hot with rice or chapathi.
