Uluva Cheera(Methi) Fish

Fish dipped in the flavour of methi(low fat without coconut)

Ingredients
  

  • 2 nos Onion finely chopped, big
  • 2 tbsp Garlic paste
  • 1 cup Fenugreek leaves finely chopped, Methi leaves
  • 4 - Tomato finely chopped
  • Coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 kg Single bone fish
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Pour oil in a pan.
  • Add the chopped onions and saute.
  • Add the garlic paste and mix well.
  • When it turns golden brown, add the methi leaves.
  • Stir the methi leaves for 10 mins so that there is no smell of methi.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes, the coriander, chilli & turmeric powder.
  • Allow the curry to boil and when the tomatoes are 3/4th cooked, add the fish to it along with salt.
  • :- Goes well with rice & rotis.
  • :- The fish can also be fried with turmeric & salt & later added to the curry.
