Aam(Mango) Dal

Ingredients
  

  • 2 nos Mango sour
  • 3 cups Red gram Thuvaraparippu
  • 10 nos Garlic pods
  • 4 nos Dry red chillies
  • 1 tbsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Curry leaves A fistful
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 cup Green chilly pieces

Instructions
 

  • Peel the mangoes and cut into small slices.
  • Place the red gram and the mango slices in a pressure cooker dish.
  • Add turmeric powder and green chilly pieces and cook until the red gram and mango slices are cooked smooth.
  • Add salt.
  • Add oil to a frying pan and heat.
  • Splutter mustard seeds and the red chilly pieces, curry leaves and garlic bulbs.
  • Add them to the mango-dal combine and mix thoroughly.
