Andhra Special Pesarattu curry

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Green gram
  • 1/4 kg Small onions Kunjulli
  • 10 nos Green chillies split
  • 2 tbsp Red chilli powder
  • 2" piece Ginger
  • 10 nos Garlic pods
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • Salt As reqd
  • 250 ml Refined oil
  • Curry leaves A few

Instructions
 

  • Soak the greengram over night.
  • Wash thoroughly.
  • Add ginger and cumin seeds.
  • Pulvarise into smooth dough.
  • Add salt.
  • Taka a pan, put 2 - 3 spoons of oil each time and prepare pancakes (pesarattus) of the dough.
  • Cut the pancakes into 2" square pieces and keep them aside.
  • Take a frying pan, add oil and warm.
  • Add small onions, green chillies, peeled garlic bulbs, curry leaves and sufficient salt.
  • Mix well and add the pesarattu pieces and red chilli powder.
  • Add water and allow to simmer on medium flame.
  • :- If like to add tomato, add tomato pieces along with other ingredients.
