Cauliflower Pakoda

Cauliflower Pakoda is a delicious deep fried snack favorite with both vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians. This super hit starter snack makes a great treat at parties. We have included a very simple presentation of Cauliflower Pakoda. The cauliflower florets are marinated in a spicy ginger-garlic mixture. Gram flour and rice flour is added to the marinated mix. Little water is sprinkled to make a thick batter. Pluck dough in the shape of pakodas and fry in hot boiling oil to a dark brown color. Enjoy Cauliflower Pakoda with hot and sweet tomato sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 no Cauliflower big
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  • 2 tbsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 dozen Green chillies length wise slit
  • Curry leaves A fistful
  • 350 ml Refined oil
  • 250 gm Gram flour Kadalapodi
  • 100 gm Rice flour

Instructions
 

  • Cut the cauliflower into big bunches.
  • In a bowl, take the flower bunches, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, slit green chillies and curry leaves.
  • Add salt and mix all of them well and keep aside.
  • After 15 mins, add gram flour and rice flour to the above and adding water slowly, prepare a thick batter.
  • Heat oil in a frying bowl.
  • Reduce flame and add the dough with its ingredients as medium sized pakodas.
  • Fry until dark brown.
  • :- Serve with hot and sweet tamato sauce.
