Prawns With Tomato N Onions

Fried prawns with light spices - Hot n spicy

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Prawns
  • 6 nos Onion cut into rings
  • 1 1/2 inch Ginger finely chopped
  • 4 - Garlic pods finely chopped
  • 5 nos Tomato chopped, small red ones
  • 8 - Curry leaves
  • 4 tsp Kashmiri chilly powder
  • 4 tsp Chilly powder
  • 4 nos Green chillies chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • Coconut oil As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Marinate cleaned and washed prawns with chilly powder, turmeric powder, little water and salt.
  • Refrigerate for atleast 30 mins.
  • Fry prawns with little oil.
  • :- Do not deep fry.
  • Keep fried prawns aside.
  • Heat 2 tbsp of coconut oil in a pan.
  • Add ginger and garlic and fry for 1 minute.
  • Add green chillies, curry leaves and onion.
  • Add salt and mix well.
  • Stir till onions go brown.
  • :- If oil is not enough, you may add more.
  • Add chilli (Kashmiri) powder only after the onions turn brown.
  • Add tomato and fried prawns at the same time.
  • Simmer flame and keep the pan closed for 10 mins.
  • :- Serve with chappattis, appam, fried rice, ghee rice, puris....
  • :- EVEN MORE DELICIOUS WHEN SMALL ONIONS(KUNJULLI OR SHALLOTS) ARE USED INSTEAD OF BIG ONIONS.
