Marinate cleaned and washed prawns with chilly powder, turmeric powder, little water and salt.
Refrigerate for atleast 30 mins.
Fry prawns with little oil.
:- Do not deep fry.
Keep fried prawns aside.
Heat 2 tbsp of coconut oil in a pan.
Add ginger and garlic and fry for 1 minute.
Add green chillies, curry leaves and onion.
Add salt and mix well.
Stir till onions go brown.
:- If oil is not enough, you may add more.
Add chilli (Kashmiri) powder only after the onions turn brown.
Add tomato and fried prawns at the same time.
Simmer flame and keep the pan closed for 10 mins.
:- Serve with chappattis, appam, fried rice, ghee rice, puris....
:- EVEN MORE DELICIOUS WHEN SMALL ONIONS(KUNJULLI OR SHALLOTS) ARE USED INSTEAD OF BIG ONIONS.
