Boil cauliflower florets and the peas in salted water along with 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, till it is cooked half.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add onions and saute for 1 - 2 mins.
Add in ginger-garlic paste and saute till onion turn brown.
Add cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, remaining turmeric powder, sugar and salt and stir thoroughly for a while.
Add tomato puree, tomato ketchup and saute it till oil separates.
Add in half cooked cauliflower florets and cook for 5 - 10 mins on a low heat, covered, till gobi is cooked.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
