Spicy Rice

Rice with spice and coconut milk

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Basmathi Rice
  • 2 cups Coconut milk
  • 1 piece Cinnamon Karugapatta
  • 1 no Clove
  • 1 no Cardamom Elakka
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • 1 no Onion
  • 1 no Tomato
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 tsp Ghee
  • 2 tsp Oil

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
  • Add all the spices (cinnamom, cloves, cumin seeds cardamom).
  • When it splutters, add ginger garlic paste and fry it.
  • Add sliced onion and tomato and fry well.
  • Add the washed rice and fry for few minutes.
  • Add 2 cups of coconut milk and add salt to taste.
  • Add 1 tsp of ghee.
  • Pressure cook for 10 mins.
  • Garnish the rice with coriander leaves.
  • :- Serve hot with cucumber salad or onion raita and papads.
