Tofu Bhurji

Bhurji using Tofu (Nutritious)

Ingredients
  

  • 455 g Tofu 1 lb
  • 2 nos Tomato
  • 1 no Onion big
  • 4 nos Garlic pods
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 1 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 2 pieces Green chillies
  • 1 small Cinnamon Karugapatta
  • Cloves(Grambu)
  • 1 tsp Ani seeds Perinjeerakam
  • 2 tbsp Grated coconut
  • Oil As reqd
  • Coriander leaves

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Add the masala items (Clove, Cinnamon, Ani seeds).
  • Add coarsly ground ginger and garlic.
  • Add onion and fry till it becomes golden brown.
  • Add chopped tomatoes.
  • Add chilli powder and slit green chillies.
  • Fry the contents for 10 mins on low flame, till the ingredients become thick.
  • Add salt.
  • Add the shredded tofu and coconut. Mix it well and keep for 5 mins on low flame.
  • Garnish well with coriander leaves.
  • :- Serve hot with chappathi, phulkas
  • :- Optional - We can add fried cashews for garnishing.
