Cut onions and spring onions into small pieces and chop each chicken leg into 3.
Add oil in a small pan and add some whole black pepper and cloves to it.
Keep the flame to medium. Add the chopped onions and stir for a minute.
Add the spring onions and stir for a minute.
Add the chicken.
Keep at mid flame (4 on a electric hob) for atleast 20 mins stirring occasionally.
Once the chicken is half cooked, add the ginger, garlic, green chillies, salt, mint powder and pepper powder.
Keep on the flame until chicken is cooked completely (10 - 15 mins), stirring occasionally.
Add coriander and mint leaves at the end and mix well before serving.
:- If you use a pressure cooker, reduce cooking times to about half. If you use a non-stick pan you will need to stir only occasionally.
