Instructions
Put tamarind in a kadai and pour little hot water.
Add asafoetida and saute and keep aside.
Grind together garlic pods, green chilles, curry leaves, red chillies, cumin seeds, pepper powder and kayam again.
Heat oil in a kadai.
Splutter mustard seeds.
Add the above ground mixture into the kadai.
Add turmeric powder and red chilli powder.
Add the "tamarind mixture"(puli vellam with kayam), pepper powder and reqd hot water.
Add the finely chopped coriander leaves.
