Pudhina Rice

Mint(Pudhina) Rice

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups Rice
  • 1 cup Pudhina Mint leaves
  • 1 cup Coriander leaves
  • Ginger A piece
  • 2 nos Onion medium
  • 2 nos Carrots
  • 1 cup Peas
  • 1 cup Beans
  • 2 nos Green chillies
  • 2 nos Tomato medium
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1/2 spoon Mustard seeds and Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
  • 2 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Grind together pudhina, cilantro, ginger and green chillies.
  • Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan.
  • Splutter mustard seeds and fry black gram.
  • Add onions and saute till the raw smell of onion goes.
  • Add tomato, carrot, peas and beans.
  • Add the grinded mixture with it and fry till the raw smell is gone.
  • Add salt and mix well.
  • :- If necessary, add sugar according to your wish.
  • Wash the rice and then add 5 glass of water and add the mixture.
  • Keep it in the pressure cooker.
  • Wait for 4 whistles and then after some time take the rice and mix it well.
  • :- Serve hot with raita or papad.
