Mutter Paneer Curry

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Peas Frozen or Dry Green Peas
  • 250 g Paneer Cut into cubes
  • 1 cup Onion paste
  • 1 cup Tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Ginger Paste
  • 1 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder Jeerakam
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 3 tsp Oil
  • Water As reqd
  • Salt As reqd
  • Coriander leaves (for garnishing)

Instructions
 

  • For preparing the delicious vegetarian side dish, first deep fry paneer cubes till light brown in color. Dip in warm water for 1/2 hour.
  • Soak green peas for 1/2 hr (if you are using dry green peas).
  • Fry the onion paste in hot oil till it becomes light brown.
  • Add garlic paste, ginger paste and tomato paste resp.
  • Fry till oil separates.
  • Add salt, chilli powder, coriander powder, jeera powder, peas and water.
  • Cook until peas are done.
  • Add soaked paneer cubes and cook for 4 - 5 mins.
  • Garnish the dish with fresh coriander leaves. This is a very tasty side dish that goes well with roti, porotta, chappathi or naan. Note the nutritious dish in your menu chart and make sure that you will prepare the dish at least once a week. Enjoy the tasty dish with your family.
