North Indian Chicken Tikka

Ingredients
  

  • 8 pcs Chicken legs and breast only
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp Oil
  • 3 tbsp Yoghurt
  • 4 nos Garlic pods
  • 2 inch Ginger
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red/orange food colouring
  • Salt As reqd
  • Pepper As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Make gashes on the chicken and rub it with chilly powder, oil, seasonings and lemon juices.
  • Leave aside for 20 - 30 mins.
  • Prepare marinade by blending until smooth the yoghurt, garlic, ginger, cumin seeds and coriander powder.
  • Add food colour and mix well.
  • Pour it over the chicken pieces, rubbing it well into gashes.
  • Cover and marinate inside refrigerator for 24 hours.
  • Preheat grill to high and grill the chicken pieces turning them occasionally for 10 - 15 mins until thoroughly cooked.
  • Garnish with onion rings, tomatoes and coriander leaves.
  • :- Serve hot.
