Cherupayar Thoran

Mouth watering thoran with sprouted Cherupayar/Moong dal

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Sprouted Green Gram Cheruparippu/Moong Dal
  • 8 nos Shallots – 6 finely chopped, Kunjulli
  • 2 nos Green chillies finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Grated coconut
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • Coconut oil As reqd
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 - Red chillies Kollamulaku
  • Curry leaves A few
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Mix well together the above chopped items, sprouted dal, grated coconut, cumin seeds, salt & turmeric powder.
  • :- Mix using your hands for best results.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Splutter mustard seeds and sautT red chillies and curry leaves.
  • Add the mixture and mix well.
  • Cover the pan with its lid and cook on low flame.
  • Simmer for 3 mins.
  • Remove the cover and mix well the whole contents again.
  • Keep it on flame till done.
