Kaima Idli

An easy recipe with left over idlis

Ingredients
  

  • 4 - Idlis
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
  • 1 cup Maida
  • 1 cup Bread crumbs

For paste:-

  • 5 - Small onions Kunjulli
  • 2 nos Tomato medium
  • 4 - Garlic pods
  • Ginger A little
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 3 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Add 1 tsp of chilli powder and 1 tsp of salt to the maida and make it into a thick paste.
  • Cut the idlis into square pieces and then dip them in the above maida mixture.
  • After dipping them in maida, dip them in bread crumbs separately.
  • Deep fry in the oil till golden brown.
  • Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Splutter mustard seeds and black gram.
  • Add small onions-tomatoes-garlic-ginger paste.
  • Add 1 tsp of chilly powder, coriander powder and salt.
  • Heat the paste well till the raw smell of tomato and onions go.
  • Add the fried idlis into it and mix well.
  • Garnish with onions, coriander leaves and lemon.
