North Indian Style Vegetable Curry

Healthy curry with Vegetables and Whole Moong

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Whole Green gram Cherupayar
  • 1 cup Cabbage, Carrot, Beans finely chopped
  • ½ cup Onion thinly sliced
  • 4 Green chillies chopped
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • ½ tsp Pepper powder
  • Salt As reqd

For seasoning:-

  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 Dry red chillies Kollamulaku
  • Curry leaves A few

Instructions
 

  • Steam cook the vegetables(preferable a Idli steamer).
  • Cook whole green gram in about 2 cups of water.
  • When done, add all the powders along with the cooked vegetables and continue to cook, till done.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Splutter mustard seeds and sautT dry red chillies and curry leaves.
  • Pour the above seasoning into the curry and mix well.
  • :- You can also pour a tsp of ghee on top for flavour.
  • :- Serve hot with chappathis or rotis.
