For preparing Idichakka Thoran, remove the skin off the idichakka and cut into small pieces.
Cook it along with turmeric powder and salt.
Place grated coconut, green chillies, cumin seeds, garlic and curry leaves in a mixer bowl and run it once to make it into a coarse form.
Similarly, place the cooked idichakka pieces in the mixer bowl and run it just once to mince it again.
:- Make sure that the idichakka is not overcooked as the whole thing may get mashed.
Mix together the coconut mixture and the minced idichakka.
Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
Splutter mustard seeds and saute red chillies, plain rice and curry leaves.
Lower the flame, stir in cooked idichakka mixture, cover and cook for about 2 mins.
Remove the lid and stir well.
Continue to cook, till done.
:- Make sure Idichakka Thoran doesn't get mashed.
