Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Potato
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Asafoetida A small pinch, Kayam
  • 6 nos Green chillies
  • Ginger minced/grated
  • 1/2 tsp Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
  • 1/2 tsp Red gram Thuvaraparippu
  • 1 tsp Bengal gram Kadalaparippu
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 - Dry red chillies Kollamulaku
  • Curry leaves A few
  • Coriander leaves washed and finely chopped
  • 1 no Lemon
  • 2 tsp Cooking oil
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Boil potatoes with turmeric and salt.
  • Peel skin and mash them and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Splutter mustard seeds.
  • Fry black gram, red gram, Bengal gram, asafoetida, turmeric powder, curry leaves, red chillies, finely chopped ginger, lemon juice and salt.
  • Add the mashed potatoes and mix well.
  • Let this cook for a few mins.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
