Potato Podimas Potato Podimas 1 lb Potato1/4 tsp Turmeric powderAsafoetida (A small pinch, Kayam)6 nos Green chilliesGinger (minced/grated)1/2 tsp Black gram (Uzhunnuparippu)1/2 tsp Red gram (Thuvaraparippu)1 tsp Bengal gram (Kadalaparippu)1/4 tsp Mustard seeds2 - Dry red chillies (Kollamulaku)Curry leaves (A few)Coriander leaves (washed and finely chopped)1 no Lemon2 tsp Cooking oil1 tsp Salt Boil potatoes with turmeric and salt.Peel skin and mash them and keep it aside.Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.Splutter mustard seeds.Fry black gram, red gram, Bengal gram, asafoetida, turmeric powder, curry leaves, red chillies, finely chopped ginger, lemon juice and salt.Add the mashed potatoes and mix well. Let this cook for a few mins.Garnish with coriander leaves. Tamil
