Chemmeen Cutlet

Easy to make cutlets with Prawns(Chemmeen)

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Prawns Chemmeen
  • 2 nos Onion finely chopped
  • 250 gm Potato cooked and mashed well
  • 6 nos Green chillies finely chopped
  • Salt As reqd
  • Turmeric powder A little
  • 1 no Egg
  • Bread crumbs As reqd
  • Curry leaves finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves A little, finely chopped
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Clean prawns well.
  • Cook it well with salt and turmeric powder. Keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Add onion and sautT well.
  • Add green chillies, curry leaves, coriander leaves and sautT well.
  • Remove from flame.
  • Add mashed potatoes and cooked prawns and mix well.
  • Make small balls off the above mixture and shape them into cutlets.
  • Dip them first in beaten egg and roll them in bread crumbs.
  • Deep fry them in hot oil, till they turn brown in colour.
