Karuvepillai Thovaiyal
Authentic Tamilnadu Dish made with curry leaves and coriander leaves

- 1 bunch Curry leaves Karuveypila
- 1 bunch Coriander leaves
- 3 nos Green chillies
- 1 tbsp Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
- Tamarind A small ball, Puli
- 1/2 cup Grated coconut
- Asafoetida As reqd, Kayam
- 1 tbsp Mustard
- 1 tbsp Oil
Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
Splutter mustard seeds.
Add black gram and fry well.
Add asafoetida followed by green chillies and fry well.
Add both coriander leaves and curry leaves and fry well.
Add coconut and tamarind and fry, till the water leaves the coconut.
Put the fried ingredients into a mixer grinder.
Add salt and a little water and grind well.
