Veggie Pulav

Easy and tasty pulav with vegetables

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Basmati rice
  • 1 cup Mixed vegetables Carrot, Beans, Green peas
  • 1 stick Cinnamon Karugapatta
  • 5 nos Cloves Grambu
  • 2 nos Bay leaves Karuga/Vazhana ela
  • 3 nos Cardamom Elakka
  • 10 nos Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 4 tbsp Ghee
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions
 

  • Heat ghee in a pan.
  • Add the spices and simmer the flame.
  • When aroma comes, add the vegetables and rice and fry for 2 - 3 mins.
  • Add salt and garam masala powder.
  • Add water and allow it to boil on a high flame.
  • Simmer the flame again.
  • Cover the vessel with a lid and cook for about 15 - 20 mins.
