Ingredients
- Basmati rice - 1 cup
- Mixed vegetables(Carrot, Beans, Green peas) - 1 cup
- Cinnamon(Karugapatta) - 1 stick
- Cloves(Grambu) - 5 nos
- Bay leaves(Karuga/Vazhana ela) - 2 nos
- Cardamom(Elakka) - 3 nos
- Black pepper - 10 nos
- Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Ghee - 4 tbsp
- Water - 2 cups

Instructions
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Add the spices and simmer the flame.
- When aroma comes, add the vegetables and rice and fry for 2 - 3 mins.
- Add salt and garam masala powder.
- Add water and allow it to boil on a high flame.
- Simmer the flame again.
- Cover the vessel with a lid and cook for about 15 - 20 mins.

instead of adding water, i tried with the cooker, it came out good.
