Marinate chicken with the ingredients given for marination and keep aside for atleast 15 minutes.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
Add onion and saute, till they turn light brown in colour.
Add ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, coriander powder and chilli powder and saute for a minute.
Add tomatoes and cook, till they become soft.
Add chicken pieces and saute for a minute.
Add 1/2 cup of water and salt. (No water required for boneless chicken)
Close the pressure cooker and keep the flame on high.
When the first long whistle comes, reduce the flame to medium low and cook for 5 mins. (If you are using boneless chicken reduce cooking time to 3 minutes)
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
