North Indian Simple & Great Chicken Curry

Simple and delicious chicken curry

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Chicken
  • 2 nos Onion big
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • 2 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 2 nos Tomato medium
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Salt As reqd
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing

For marination:-

  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Marinate chicken with the ingredients given for marination and keep aside for atleast 15 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
  • Add onion and saute, till they turn light brown in colour.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, coriander powder and chilli powder and saute for a minute.
  • Add tomatoes and cook, till they become soft.
  • Add chicken pieces and saute for a minute.
  • Add 1/2 cup of water and salt. (No water required for boneless chicken)
  • Close the pressure cooker and keep the flame on high.
  • When the first long whistle comes, reduce the flame to medium low and cook for 5 mins. (If you are using boneless chicken reduce cooking time to 3 minutes)
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
