Fish Masala With Coconut Milk

Any type of fish can be used for this preparation

Ingredients
  

  • 6 pieces Fish
  • 1 no Onion thinly sliced
  • 2 nos Green chillies
  • 1 tsp Ginger chopped
  • 1 tsp Garlic chopped
  • 4 leaves Curry Leaves
  • 1 no Tomato thinly sliced
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 nos Tamarind pieces Puli
  • 1/2 cup Coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp Small onion(chopped) Kunjulli

Instructions
 

  • Heat coconut oil in a pan.
  • Add onion, green chillies, ginger, garlic and curry leaves and fry, till they turn brown.
  • Add tomato and fry for 2 mins.
  • Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilly powder and salt and fry for 3 mins on a low flame.
  • Add tamarind water and mix it well.
  • Allow it to boil for 3 mins.
  • Add fish pieces.
  • Cover and allow it to cook on a low flame, till it becomes a thick gravy.
  • Add coconut milk.
  • Remove from the flame.
  • Heat a little oil in a small frying pan.
  • Fry small onions, till it becomes golden brown.
  • Add the above into the curry.
