Tasty Moong Dal Curry

Easy curry with Green gram(Cheruparippu/Moong dal)

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Green gram Cheruparippu
  • 1 no Onion cut into small pieces, big
  • 1 no Tomato cut into small pieces
  • 4 - Green chillies
  • 1 cup Fenugreek leaves optional, Uluva ela
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 - Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • Curry leaves A few

Instructions
 

  • In a presuure cooker, boil moong dal, tomato, onion, methi leaves and green chillies along with chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  • After boiling, smash the curry well.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Add the above curry into the seasoning.
  • Allow it to boil.
  • When it starts to boil, remove from flame.
  • :- Serve with chappathis.
