Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Sear Fish or any other fish that u prefer
  • 2 - Tamarind Puli
  • 1 no Onion
  • 1 no Tomato
  • 3 nos Green chillies
  • 10 nos Garlic pods
  • Curry leaves A few
  • 1 tbsp Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 3 tsp Coriander power
  • 2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds Uluva
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1/2 cup Oil

Instructions
 

  • Wash the fish and keep it aside.
  • Soak the tamarind and extract the juice from it. Let it be thick. Keep it aside.
  • Grind together onion, tomato, 2 pods of garlic, pepper, 1 tbsp of cumin seeds, green chillies and curry leaves.
  • Mix this paste with the tamarind extract.
  • Add chilly powder, coriander powder, tumeric powder and salt to it and mix it thoroughly. Keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and the remaining cumin seeds.
  • Add crushed garlic and a few curry leaves to it.
  • Once it turns brown, add the tamarind mixture to it.
  • Let it come for a boil and then simmer it for 10 mins.
  • Once the oil leaves the sides of the pan, add fish.
  • Cover and simmer for 5 mins and remove from the stove.
  • :- Serve with White boiled rice.
  • :- Prepare the curry overnight and eat it in the morning. It tastes amazing this way.
