Kerala Tomato-Onion Chutney

Kerala style cutney made with tomato and onion

Ingredients
  

  • 1 no Onion medium
  • 1 no Tomato medium
  • Chilly powder As reqd
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • Curry leaves A few

Instructions
 

  • Cut onion and tomato into small pieces.
  • Grind together the chopped onion and tomato along with red chilly powder and salt.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add curry leaves and the ground mixture.
  • Bring it to a boil.
  • Add a tsp of water.
  • Boil, till it becomes thick.
  • :- Serve with dosas or idlis.
