Special Biryani Rice

Do you need a simple version of biriyani preparation, then here it is for you. A mild flavored, aromatic dish with an extraordinary tasty biriyani. The chicken pieces are cooked in a aromatic masala gravy and added with rice. This can be prepared with very few ingredients readily available in your kitchen.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups Basmati rice
  • 8 cups Water
  • 2 nos Full chicken cut into small pieces
  • 2 tsp Ghee
  • 5 - Green chillies
  • 4 - Onion big
  • 2 - Tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Chilly powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 cup Curry leaves

Instructions
 

  • Heat the ghee in a vessel.
  • Fry onions, till golden brown.
  • Add turmeric powder, chilly powder, salt and green chillies.
  • Add the tomatoes and mix well.
  • Cook for about 2 - 5 mins.
  • Add the chicken and mix well.
  • Cook again for about 15 - 20 mins, till the chicken is half soft.
  • Add the rice and water and mix well.
  • Add the curry leaves.
  • Cook, till the water gets dried up and the rice is well cooked.
  • :- Serve hot.
