Egyptian Pulao

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups Basmati rice
  • 2 nos Onions
  • 1 cup Tomato
  • 3 nos Eggs
  • 4 nos Cloves Grambu
  • 5 nos Cardamom Elakka
  • 1 tbsp Soya sauce
  • 1 tsp Ajinomotto
  • 1/4 cup Ghee
  • 1 tbsp Pepper powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 tsp Oil

Instructions
 

  • Soak the rice in water for about 10 min., wash it and leave it to drain.
  • Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Add cloves, cardamom and boil for sometime.
  • Then, add the rice and cook for sometime.
  • Drain the water off and keep it aside.
  • Meanwhile, in a large frying pan, melt the butter/ghee with the oil over moderately low heat.
  • Add the onions and cook stirring occasionally, until translucent, for about 5 minutes.
  • Then, add the eggs and tomatoes into it and cook for 2 min.
  • Add pepper powder, soya sauce and ajinomotto into this followed by rice and stir well.
  • :- Serve hot.
