A handful, Pudhina

cup
Gram flour
Kadalapodi/Besan
1/2
cup
Rice flour
Ari podi
1
tsp
Butter
1
tsp
Chilly powder
Salt
As reqd
Asafoetida
A pinch, Kayam
Oil for frying
Instructions
Clean the pudhina leaves and grind it to a paste in a mixer grinder.
Mix together gram flour, rice flour, salt, asafoetida, chilly powder and the pudhina paste.
Add butter and knead it to a dough.
Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
Place the dough in a murukku maker and squeeze it into the oil.
When it is done, remove from the oil.
:- Serve with tea.
