Pudhina Murukku

Murukku made with Mint(Pudhina) leaves

Ingredients
  

  • Mint leaves A handful, Pudhina
  • 1 cup Gram flour Kadalapodi/Besan
  • 1/2 cup Rice flour Ari podi
  • 1 tsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • Asafoetida A pinch, Kayam
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Clean the pudhina leaves and grind it to a paste in a mixer grinder.
  • Mix together gram flour, rice flour, salt, asafoetida, chilly powder and the pudhina paste.
  • Add butter and knead it to a dough.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Place the dough in a murukku maker and squeeze it into the oil.
  • When it is done, remove from the oil.
  • :- Serve with tea.
