Mambazha Pachadi

Ingredients
  

  • 6 nos Ripe mangoes Mambazham
  • 1/4 of Coconut
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 1 big Jaggery Sharkkara
  • Salt As reqd
  • Curry leaves Few
  • 1 tbsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 - Dry red chillies Kollamulaku
  • 2 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder

Instructions
 

  • For preparing Mambazha Pachadi, first cut the mangoes on the larger sides so as to get two big pieces.
  • Put the cut pieces along with the rest of the mangoes(together with the mango seed) in a vessel.
  • Cook the mangoes by adding some water, chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  • Add some jaggery.
  • Grind the grated coconut and the cumin seeds together and add it along with the mangoes.
  • :- Make sure that the curry doesn't become too watery.
  • Remove from fire when the desired consistency is reached.
  • Heat oil in a small pan.
  • Splutter mustard seeds followed by dry red chillies and curry leaves.
  • Pour the above seasoning into the mango curry.
  • :- Serve Mambazha Pachadi with rice.
