Ingredients
  

  • 100 g Small onions cut into small round pieces, Kunjulli
  • 10 nos Green chillies cut into small round pieces
  • 1 lemon Tamarind Puli
  • 1 tbsp Chilly powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • Asafoetida A small piece, Kayam
  • 1 big Jaggery Sharkkara
  • 1/4 tsp Fenugreek powder Uluva
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 - Dry red chillies Kollamulaku
  • Curry leaves Few

Instructions
 

  • For preparing Ulli Mulaku Curry, first heat up a vessel.
  • Add tamarind water along with chilly powder, turmeric powder, powdered asafoetida, jaggery, coriander powder and salt.
  • Bring it to a boil.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Crackle mustard seeds, red chillies and curry leaves.
  • Add small onions and green chillies and saute well.
  • Pour the boiled mixture into the pan.
  • When it gets hot, add the fenugreek powder and stir well.
  • Remove from flame and close the vessel with a lid so as not to lose the yummy flavour.
  • Ulli Mulaku Curry, a tasty side dish with hot rice is ready.
