Ingredients

100 g Small onions cut into small round pieces, Kunjulli
10 nos Green chillies cut into small round pieces
1 lemon Tamarind Puli
1 tbsp Chilly powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
Salt As reqd
1 tsp Coriander powder
Asafoetida A small piece, Kayam
1 big Jaggery Sharkkara
1/4 tsp Fenugreek powder Uluva
1 tbsp Coconut oil
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1 - Dry red chillies Kollamulaku
Curry leaves Few

Instructions

For preparing Ulli Mulaku Curry, first heat up a vessel.
Add tamarind water along with chilly powder, turmeric powder, powdered asafoetida, jaggery, coriander powder and salt.
Bring it to a boil.
Heat oil in a pan.
Crackle mustard seeds, red chillies and curry leaves.
Add small onions and green chillies and saute well.
Pour the boiled mixture into the pan.
When it gets hot, add the fenugreek powder and stir well.
Remove from flame and close the vessel with a lid so as not to lose the yummy flavour.
Ulli Mulaku Curry, a tasty side dish with hot rice is ready.
