Egg Biryani

This Kerala Egg biryani is cooked in pressure cooker. This kerala egg biryani is very different from the regular egg biryani which was cooked and put in dhum as layered.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 nos Eggs boiled
  • 2 sticks Cinnamon Karugapatta
  • 2 nos Cloves Grambu
  • Ginger garlic paste : 2 tsp
  • 2 nos Cardamom Elakka
  • 3 nos Onion thinly sliced, big
  • 1 no Tomato
  • 1 cup Basmati rice
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 - Oil
  • Cashewnuts for garnishing

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
  • Add cinnamon, cardamom and cloves and fry for 2 mins.
  • Add onion and saute for 7 - 10 mins.
  • Add tomato and saute for 3 mins.
  • Add rice and stir for 3 mins.
  • Add boiled eggs, chilly powder, coriander powder, water and salt.
  • Cover and cook for about 3 - 4 mins.
  • Garnish Kerala Egg Biryani with cashew nuts.
  • :- Serve Kerala Egg Biryani with raita.
