Wash the parippu, until the water is clear.
Put parippu in pan and cover with water (water should be 1/2 inch above the lentils.)
Add turmeric, half the onion, ginger, cinnamon stick and curry leaves.
Cover and boil, until water is absorbed.
Take off the flame and place in a bowl.
Heat ghee in the pan.
Fry the remaining onions & dried red pepper.
Cook, until pale golden colour.
Combine cooked parippu, the mixture & coconut milk.
Return to flame and warm through.
Add salt and mix well.
Finish with a squeeze of lime & stir.
